The Vancouver International Jazz Festival project required a set design that could change shape as the festival progressed at two different sites. I was responsible for the design, estimation, sourcing and procurement, budget, project content creation and on site management of all technical and labour requirements to execute this ongoing metamorphosis.
The sponsor for the Jazz Fest that year, Du Maurier, came to me extremely happy with the set look on the opening day of the festival. They asked whether I could install a combination of the sets in Calgary for Stampede two days after the festival end. After driving all night in a truck and then setting up the stage and set in 8 hours on the fly, we received more rave reviews in Calgary as well for the DJ Tiesto show that the set was used for at Stampede.
